A Show That Flopped

I know I haven't posted anything here in months. I guess I got caught up with the Holidays, work and my fashion blog Style through Her Eyes. I still am uncertain of the future of this blog but for now let me share with you one of my latest obsessions.

Downton Abbey. One of the best TV Mini Series I've ever seen. I just finished the last episode of Season 2 last night and I'm still trying to figure out how I'm suppposed to wait nearly a year for Season 3 to begin. There's so much to love about this show, everything from the enchanting music to the incredible acting. I was so pleased to hear of it's success as I browsed the web (because you know, I had to avoid spoilers until I was all caught up), and so happy it won a Golden Globe for Best TV Mini Series!

With that said, I must proclaim that I simply can't get enough of Matthew and Mary. I found this scene on YouTube and have watched it a handful of times already. It gives me goosebumps.

Are you a fan of Downton Abbey? Who are your favorite characters?

A feeling

Do you ever get that feeling that your life is suddenly going to change and then when it is changing you notice that you still have that feeling? Like it's not over yet? That's how I have felt for a little while now and still feel. Some of it hurts and just seems bad all around but because of my faith in God I know that it is happening for a reason and that everything will turn out alright. And then there are the parts that are exciting and you're anxious to see what's going to happen. With the different occurrences that are taking place right now and the mix of such opposite feelings it's been hard not to feel confused and overwhelmed but I'm holding on to His hand.

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." - Proverbs 3:5-6

"Look to the Lord and His strength; seek His face always." - Psalms 105:4

"My soul finds rest in God alone; my salvation comes from Him. He alone is my rock and my salvation; He is my fortress, I will never be shaken." - Pslams 62:1-2

Barrage

Barrage
A high-octane fiddle-fest that features an international, multi-talented cast performing an eclectic mix of music, song and dance.

Last week Jason and I got to see Barrage a fantastic musical group for free! Years ago when we were dating we had tickets to see them and drove about an hour or so away from where we lived only to find out when we got there that the show had been cancelled! We couldn't believe they didn't notfiy us and were needless to say very disappointed. So when we heard they were playing in a city near where we live we jumped at the opportunity to see them. Their performances were amazing! They are so talented and the music they play is exciting and beautiful! You can learn more about Barrage at their website. Here is a short video I took the night we saw them. Enjoy!
